Thyroid tests (TSH, FT4, FT3) in Quezon City: price, preparation and what to expect
Thyroid Function Test 1 ₱2,250
What the Thyroid test checks
Thyroid tests check how well your thyroid gland is working. TSH is the main screening test; FT4 and FT3 measure the thyroid hormones themselves. Together they help find an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) or an overactive one (hyperthyroidism), and monitor thyroid medicine.
Who usually needs it
- Tiredness, weight changes, feeling too cold or too hot, hair loss, a racing heart or a neck lump, when your doctor requests it
- People taking thyroid medicine such as levothyroxine
- Pregnancy planning or a family history of thyroid disease
How to prepare
Stop biotin (vitamin B7) and hair, skin and nail supplements 2 to 3 days before. Biotin can change these results. Taking levothyroxine? Take it after your blood draw on the test day. Keep taking your usual medicines unless your doctor says otherwise. Bring a valid ID, your HMO card and LOA if you're using an HMO, and your doctor's request if you have one.
Price and payment
TSH: ₱800 · Thyroid Function Test 1: ₱2,250. Prices are regular rates as of August 2026 and already include reading and procedure fees. Senior citizens and PWD get 20% off with a valid ID.
